Sarah's Experience Replacing Replit with Pickcode

On March 7th, I spoke with Sarah, a teacher at a school in Philadelphia about her experiences using Pickcode. Sarah uses Pickcode for her web design classes, and another teacher at her school, Matt, uses Pickcode to teach Python.

Both Sarah and Matt used to use Replit, but when Replit shut down their Teams for Education product in Fall 2024, they needed an alternative. Both Sarah and Matt have found that Pickcode is a great alternative to Replit, and have enjoyed the customer support they've received from Pickcode.

Below are some quotes from my conversation with Sarah:

  • "Your response time is really fast and usually you fix things really fast. I love you how you're always like, well, this might take us a few days and then 24 hours later, you tell me, 'Oh, I found it.'"
  • "I think the fun part of working with a company like [Pickcode] is you care about a small school like ours. Whereas with a big company, if you have a problem, good luck, you're not even going to talk to a real person"
  • "A lot of times, students will find minor bugs, and I think one time, during class, you got back to us. I had a freshman and he was so pleased that his report prompted and answer from you."

Sarah's experience captures what makes Pickcode a great partner for computer science teachers. We talk directly with teachers every day, listen to their feedback, and act on it quickly. Instead of sending requests into a forum that may never get a response, every teacher request is answered directly by our team.
