We Focus On One Thing At Pickcode

At Pickcode, we focus on one thing – creating the best possible platform for teaching and learning computer science.

That may sound simple, but actually building the platform is pretty complex. We support students running code in multiple programming languages, displaying graphical output in the cloud, collaborating in real-time, and more. Each of those features takes a lot of time to get right.

Beyond features, we also strive to make the platform as simple as possible for teachers and students to use. Teachers should be able to learn the platform in a single 30 minute call, and students should be able to get started in a single class period.

None of this matters if the platform isn’t reliable. In classrooms, tools need to work every day –  a 90% is a failing grade in software.

While we’d love to say yes to every idea we think of or every suggestion we receive, we sometimes have to say no, at least in the short term. This is imperative to meet the goals we have above.

If you check out our website, you won’t see a whole line of separate products. We’re focused on doing one thing really well, and for now, that’s more than enough to keep us busy.
